am.jpgI started Modern Vintage in February 2007 to fill that planning void I was suffering from shortly after my wedding.

Putting my wedding together was the most self-fulfilling project I've ever taken on. From working closely with the invitation designer and coming up with the phrase "Modern Vintage" with her - a phrase that would epitomize the tone of the entire affair - to brainstorming six custom Macaroon flavors with Per Se's pastry chef, I was fully engaged in planning every minute detail of my wedding. Every bride would say their wedding was the most wonderful day of their lives and usually this bliss is attributed with the act of marriage itself but, for me, the achievement of planning such a successful event that would be praised and talked about long after the last bite of cake was digested, is an equal source of pride and happiness.

In July of 2007, just a few months after Modern Vintage's birth, I was featured on Style Me Pretty and since then... an abundance of opportunities were presented my way and Modern Vintage gained a larger audience. The best opportunity by far of course is meeting Lara Casey of Bliss Events Group and gaining a spot within the Bliss family as Bliss New York's Wedding and Event Producer.

As with any bride who ends up making that career switch into the Bridal Industry, I feel more blessed than ever to spend my days working on events and sharing inspiring ideas that remind me of just how exciting it was for me when I was planning my own wedding and it brings me so much joy to help and inspire estatic brides and just about anyone planning a celebration...afterall, life should be all about celebrating!

Yours Truly,

WKP
