I am a newly wed that is suffering a severe case of wedding-planning-withdrawal.
Putting my wedding together was the most self-fulfilling project I've ever taken on. From working closely with the invitation designer and coming up with the phrase "Modern Vintage" with her - a phrase that would epitomize the tone of the entire affair - to brainstorming six custom Macaroon flavors with Per Se's pastry chef, I was fully engaged in planning every minute detail of my wedding. Every bride would say their wedding was the most wonderful day of their lives and usually this bliss is attributed with the act of marriage itself but, for me, the achievement of planning such a successful event that would be praised and talked about long after the last bite of cake was digested, is an equal source of pride and happiness.
When I returned from my honeymoon, I was struck with a sense of void... as though planning a wedding has become some sort of organ responsible for my vitality. So to keep myself from shriveling up, I spend my days brainstorming more wedding and event planning ideas. Yes, I am that girl that still purchases wedding magazines months after she's said her "I do's." My mind is an ever revolving factory of shower ideas, unique favor suggestions, and chic entertaining advice...so here they are! I hope you will find them to be, at the very least, entertaining, if not useful.
Yours Truly,
WKP
